Climbs and Vaults
Climbs are eligible hills tracked by Boulder Roller. Vaults are attached to Climbs for deposits, staking, settlement, and rewards.
Climb
When you upload or sync a ride, Boulder Roller checks whether the activity matches an existing Climb or includes a new eligible climb candidate.
A Climb can have:
- KOM
- Leaderboard
- Local Legend
- Founder
- Vault
Most riders first see a Climb as a matched result after a ride.
Vault
A Vault is the account attached to a Climb for deposits, staking, settlement, and rewards.
Vaults matter when you deposit CAL, inspect DUNG rewards, or review settlement details.
Roles
| Role | Meaning |
|---|---|
| KOM | Current all-time fastest rider |
| Leaderboard | All-time top 10 for the Climb |
| Local Legend | Recent-activity role |
| Founder | Rider recorded as creating the Climb |
| Staker | Account that deposited CAL into the Vault |
These roles are separate. Staking does not buy speed. Founder status does not hold a Leaderboard spot. Local Legend is based on recent activity, not all-time performance.
After a Ride
The app may show:
- which climbs were detected
- your time on each climb
- CAL earned
- Leaderboard movement
- Local Legend changes
- whether a new climb candidate needs review
BoulderScan is available for account addresses, transaction signatures, Vault state, and settlement details.
